Come stroll the growing fields of New Entry’s Sustainable Farming Project incubator farms, hear the stories, and sample the bounty of fresh farm food being produced here at New Entry. You can tour the farm and Food Hub operations and visit the team’s new training center. A farmers market will be held featuring the bounty from our current enrollment of incubator farmers.
The New Entry demonstration plot will also be open for viewing, offering a showcase of vegetable plantings and sustainable farming methods. Farmers will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the various aspects of beginner farmer training and all things related to farm cultivation.
We will open the doors to the historic 1882 barn that has housed generations of farmers for decades here on Moraine Farm, which was designed in 1880 by renowned land architect Frederick Olmsted. New Entry incubator farmers and graduates will offer samplings from their latest harvest and other selections from their budding farm initiatives as well as music and unique children's activities. The Parfait Truck of Lexington will also be on hand serving small, handmade batches of soft serve ice cream and paletas.
We’re headed to The Castle Island at Constitution Wharf beer garden pop-up with the 20-tap draft trailer docked and ready to pour cold, fresh beer! Just like last year, they also have wine and gluten-free options available along with non-alcoholic beverages to sip on while enjoying our shaded, communal seating overlooking the Harbor and USS Constitution.
If you’re going to start your weekend early, you might as well do it right.
Last call if 45 minutes before closing (9pm).
